Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed on live weight, carcass and giblets of broiler chickens and to determine the rate of addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed which will give good results. best on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets. The implementation of this research took place at the practical location of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Palangka Raya Christian University, Jalan G.S Rubay Palangka Raya. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments with 5 replications, namely A = 100% basal feed, B = 100% basal feed and 5% additional feed, C = 100% basal feed and 10% additional feed and D = feed. basal 100% and additional feed 15%. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed has no effect on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets.

Abstract

A hydroponic indoor planting systems needs manipulation of artificial lighting so that plants can produce optimal growth and production, one of it is by manipulating the length of irradiation using Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps. This study aims to know the effect of irradiation length using LED lights on the productivity of Job’s Tears fodder in hydroponic planting system. The research was conducted on January - February 2020 at Laboratory of Forage Crops, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this experiment with three irradiation length treatments (P1 = 12 hours of irradiation; P2 = 16 hours of irradiation; and P3 = 20 hours of irradiation) with 6 replications. The data was analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan analysis. The results of statistical analysis showed that the length of irradiation using LED lights did not affect to Job’s Tears fodder productivity of plant length, plant height, and dry matter production.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui metode pengujian konsentrasi ekstrak bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) yang tepat untuk menekan tingkat frekuensi dan intensitas serangan hama Plutella xylostela L. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret sampai dengan Juni 2020 pada lahan Pertanaman SMK-SPP Negeri Samarinda. Penelitian enggunakan Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor tunggal. yaitu konsentrasi pestisida nabati ekstrak bandotan (B) dengan 5 taraf yang diulang sebanyak 8 kali, yaitu : kontrol (b0), 10 ml L-1 (b1), 20 ml L-1 (b2), 30 ml L-1 (b3), dan 40 ml L-1 (b4).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) perlakuan ekstrak bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) berpengaruh nyata sampai sangat nyata terhadap frekeunsi serangan umur 21 dan 35 hari setelah tanam, intensitas serangan umur 21 dan 35 hari setelah tanam; (2)  ekstrak bandotan bersifat sebagai insektisida botani terhadap ulat Pluttella xylostella L. semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak bandotan yang diberikan maka semakin rendah frekuensi dan intensits serangan hama Pluttela xylostella L. pada tanaman lobak, dan (3)  konsentrasi Ekstrak bandotan yang dapat menekan ulat Pluttella xylostella L. terdapat pada konsentrasi 40 ml L-1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair FPUKT-1 terhadap hasil tanaman cabai besar var. Darmais F1. Penelitian disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan analisis faktorial perlakuan pupuk organik cair FPUKT-1 terdiri dari 8 taraf dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali yang terdiri dari p0 = (kontrol), p1 = (20 ml L-1 air), p2 = (40 ml L-1 air), p3 = (60 ml L-1 air), p4 = (80 ml L-1 air), p5 = (100 ml L-1 air), p6 = (120 ml L-1 air), p7 = (140 ml L-1 air). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pemberian pupuk organik cair FPUKT-1 berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap rata-rata umur tanaman berbunga dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah pertanaman, serta berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap rata-rata hasil buah pertanaman dan hasil buah segar  perhektar. Hasil buah segar perhektar tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan p6 (120 ml L-1 air) dengan rata-rata yaitu 4,45 t ha-1, sedangkan yang terendah di peroleh pada perlakuan p0 (kontrol) dengan rata-rata 2,18 t ha-1.

Abstract

This study was aim to determine the different pellet feed source on the growth and survival rate of Nile tilapia. The purpose of this research was to provide information of the best feed for the growth and survival rate of Nile tilapia.Completely Randomized Design, with 3 treatments ( treatment A: community-made pellet, treatment B: commercial pellet PF500; treatment C: commercial pellet 885) and 3 replicate was used for the research. Nile tilapia with 3-4 cm length placed in nine aquariums with stocking density 6 fishes/L. Feeding treatment given twice a day at level 3 %/ body weight.  The parameters observed include growth rates, survival, and feed conversion. Supporting data was observed for water quality. Observation was carried out for 30 days.The results showed that the average weight, in treatment A was 101,66 g, treatment B was 118.33 g, and treatment C was 128.33 g. The average yield of relative growth in treatment A was 111.44%, treatment B was 134.23%, and treatment C was 135.76%. Treatment C shows the highest value, then treatment B and treatment A. The average yield of feed conversion, treatment A was 1.11; treatment B 3.21; and treatment C was 3.37. Survival rate of all treatments was 100%.

Abstract

Kalimantan whose existence is increasingly extinct so it needs to be preserved by in vitro propagation. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of the growth regulators, Benzyl Amino Purin (BAP), Kinetin, Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) and banana extract on the growth of sugar cane orchids in vitro. The basic media used were Half Murashige and Skoog (1/2 MS), on the base media were added 30 g.L-1 sugar, 8 g.L-1 seaweed commercial powder,  plus BAP 3 ppm, Kinetin 3 ppm, NAA 0.5 ppm, and ambon banana extract 100 g.L-1, the acidity (pH) of the media is adjusted to around 5.8. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), each treatment was repeated six times. Data were analyzed using variance analysis and continued with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) tests with a level of 5%.            The results showed that the half media Murashige and Skoog was good for the propagation of sugarcane orchids.  The addition of BAP growth regulators, Kinetin, NAA, and banana extracts showed a good response to growth culture. The addition of BAP 3 ppm + NAA 0.5 ppm showed the best results for the height increased, leaf number increased, leaf length increased, leaf width increased, and the number of shots increased. The addition of Ambon banana extract to media containing growth regulators tended to decrease the growth response, seen in the parameters of plant height increased, leaf number increased, leaf length increased, leaf width increased, the number of shoots increased, the number of roots increased and in root length increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the flow of products, finance, information, analyze marketing efficiency in the supply chain of jasminum sambac in Banjar Regency and analyze the differences jasminum sambac marketing efficiency in the supply chain between Martapura District and Banjar District. This research was conducted in November 2020. The research method used was the survey method. The research was carried out in Martapura District and Banjar District because were the largest centers of jasmine production in Banjar Regency. Determination of farmer respondents was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling method using the Slovin formula, namely 26 respondents in Karang Intan District and 31 respondents in Karang Intan District. Determination of off farm respondents using the Snowball Sampling method, namely 31 farmers, 9 collectors, 5 wholesaler respondents and 12 retail respondents. The analytical method used is descriptive method, marketing efficiency analysis method and using a different test independent sample t-test. The supply chain pattern of jasmine flowers in Martapura and Karang Intan Districts is pattern 1, pattern 2 and pattern 3 ,. The largest value of marketing margin and marketing share in Martapura District was Rp 12,462 and 65.87%. The value of the marketing margin and marketing share of Karang Intan District were IDR 13,582 and 69.88%, respectively. Different test results Independent sample t-test on marketing margin, the value of Sig. 2 tailed amounted to 0.246. The results of different test Independent sample t-test on the marketing share obtained the Sig. 2 tailed amounted to 0.221. These results show a number> 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in marketing efficiency between Martapura and Banjar Districts

Abstract

This study aims to determine the technical aspects of farming and economically the costs, and income of tidal lowland rice farming. Sampling was done by simple random sampling method of 30 farmers. From the observations, it is known that the production obtained from 30 respondent farmers with an average land area of 1.6 ha is 427.36 blek / farmer / ha or 4,701,033 kg / farmer / ha (470 ton / ha / farmer). Total revenue is Rp. 628,150,000.00 and an explicit fee of Rp. 207,080,999.84 thus the income of the respondent farmers was IDR 421,069,000.16 or an average of IDR 14,035,633.34 / farmer.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate in vitro of Elephant grass silage using molasses and soy sauce sludge as additives with different length of ensilage. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments and three replications. The data collected was carried out by variance and Duncan's test. The elephant grass is carried out by the ensilage process using molasses and soy sauce sludge additives as much as 5% with an incubation time of 3, 6, 9, and 12 weeks. The results showed that the incubation time resulted in the concentration of volatile fatty acids, dry matter, and organic matter digestibility which were significantly different (P <0.05), but not the ammonia (N-NH3) concentration. The use of soy sauce sludge additive resulted in higher volatile fatty acid and dry matter and organic matter digestibility compared to the use of molasses with the average volatile fatty acids (139.21 vs 102.92 mM), dry matter digestibility (73.34 vs 69.18%), and organic matter digestibility (66.47 vs 61.74%). The use of 5% soy sauce sludge with an ensilage duration of 12 weeks resulted in the highest average of volatile fatty acids and dry matter and organic digestibility, respectively, namely 150.67 mM, 76.10%, and 69.26%. In conclusion, the use of soy sauce sludge as much as 5% and 12 weeks of ensilage in making elephant grass silage resulted in the best fermentability and digestibility.

Abstract

Seedlings which look prima is a prerequisite for the success of oil palm cultivation. Besides, because of the factors in the pre-nursery genetic, the provision of nutrients in early growth seedlings has an important role performance determine the appearance of the seedlings thoroughly. This study aims to determine the influence of the growth of oil palm seedlings at each concentration of organic fertilizer tithonia and fertilizer of urea for pre-nursery. The experiment was carried out from January to Agustus 2019 in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the University of Labuhanbatu Rantauprapat with a height of 13 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with a factorial pattern that is repeated three times. The first factor includes the dose of Organic Fertilizer Tithonia (ton/ha) comprising of three standards, namely T0 = 0 ton/ha, T1 = 10 ton/ha, T2 = 20 tons/ha and the second factor was fertilizer dosage Uera which consists of four levels, namely U0 = 0 kg/ha, U1 = 100 kg/ha, T2 = 200 kg/ha, U3 = 300 kg/ha. The experimental results show that there are significant interactions of organic fertilizer Tithonia with fertilizers urea on plant height (cm) and leaf area of oil palm seedlings (cm2). Treatment of organic fertilizer tithonia 20 tons/ha with fertilizer urea 300 kg/ha yield plant height and leaf area of oil palm seedlings the best for pre-nursery.
